The “Guide to the SCI-CO+ Training Offer” is an essential tool to know and deepen the activities and courses that SCI-CO+ develops. Each course, both specialization and upskill, is described in detail with aims and objectives, access prerequisites, expected results, training modules, applied teaching methods, timing and organization. We underline that the SCI-CO+ courses are mainly delivered in e-Learning way.

E&T Platforms

The SCI-CO+ E&T Area provides all services aimed at the SCI-CO+ course activity. The E&T Area is divided into three distinct and powerful platforms called:

  • SCI-CO+ Learning Management System
  • SCI-CO+ eStage Management System
  • SCI-CO+ Virtual Didactica Laboratory

Access to the Education & Training Area is allowed only to the Learners of the SCI-CO+ System, i.e. the Members enrolled in one of the SCI-CO+ Courses.

Enrollment in a SCI-CO+ Course is subject to the approval of the SCI-CO+ Training Management Committee which verifies that applicants possess the required access prerequisites and the availability of places.

The e-Learning management platform of the SCI-CO+ System – e-SciCO LMS – is based on the Moodle Learning Management System, one of the most widespread distance learning management systems in the world and among the most used in the university environment. The SCI-CO+ e-Learning platform is versatile; it’s compatible with any server and digital device, even mobile devices and allows you to enjoy the courses even offline.
The Sci-Co+ LMS manages both stand-alone and assisted training activities.

e-Stage is the innovative training methodology used by the SCI-CO+ SYSTEM that allows you to carry out the “on-the-job” phases of each training course using teleworking. The smart-working internship activities represent an important professional training method able to provide learners not only with the operational skills to know how to apply what has been learned in the theoretical phases of the course, but also to acquire transversal skills such as: knowing how to work and collaborate remotely, knowing how to organize and manage the times and methods of carrying out their work,  know how to use advanced cooperative work tools.

The SCI-CO+ eSMS (e-Stage Management System) allows you to manage all the internship phases that the trainees must carry out, as well as the relationships with the organizations for which these activities take place, as well as the management and control phases. Obviously, the e-Stage is applied only for those parts of the internship that can be carried out in telework, but eSMS manages the entire Training-on-the-Job path, therefore also the phases in presence.

The Virtual Didactic Laboratory of the E&T Area is a web environment in which are collected examples of science communication installations based on the use of advanced Web 2.0 technologies, in particular Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Simulation, Holography, Artificial Intelligence. The applications collected in this particular virtual museum of science have an essentially didactic character. The laboratory is also enriched with the work carried out by the students of the SCI-CO+ Courses during their Training-on-the-Job activities.
